After some major Facebook discussion, I realized I am not the only woman that has a special relationship with her boots.Some guys even have it. You should really listen to Eric Church’s song called ‘These Boots’, in case you have been living under a rock.
A girl and her boots….It is like a relationship. They have to love your feet, make your outfit and will last forever if you take good care of them. There is a reason why resoling cowboy boots is a business. There’s nothing better than that pair of broken in boots that have loved you for years.
Although cowboy boots today are much more stylish than the originals, their basic construction is representative of their purpose on the ranch.
The agony of falling in love with a pair of boots and having to leave them behind. It is something that will haunt you. You just can’t forget them, they are in your dreams and in the end you almost always buy them. The best part is, I have yet to be disappointed in them, unlike some ex-boyfriends.
So men, if you find a woman who is like me when it comes to her boots. Consider yourself lucky. Accept that her boots are an entire relationship of their own. Keep in mind you will always have the perfect Christmas or birthday gift.

Eight. Eight pairs of boots. 🙂 Some are for horse shows, painted or dyed to match specific outfits. Others are ones I wear on a daily basis. That’s so funny you say you used to be a lace up girl. So was I. I wore them a lot in college and now I have gone back to slip-ons. I am an Old Gringo addict.
I think I have 11 pairs of western cowboy boots– add in my English riding boots…. well I’m not sure I can count that high! But you’re right, it’s a relationship/obsession. I literally have mine in a display case and save pictures of pairs I hope to own. Love boots, live in boots 🙂
