Beauty Swap is Success in a Brown Box

I participated in the Beauty Swap hosted by Crystal Cattle and Jenny Dewey. In the stress of Christmas it was amazing to get that brown box from my partner!

The awesome person I was matched up with was Sandy. She was a lot of fun to get to know and we ended up having a lot in common, including our simple, daily makeup routines!  When I got my box I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to try it all out.

The first thing I tried was this great NARS nail polish.  I tend to wear a lot of black and grays.  I like darker colors and this polish is called Disco Inferno.  It’s a top coat with gray, green and purple iridescent glitter in it.

Although I’m not wearing it, I have a matte gray color that Disco Inferno looked awesome over!  It also adds a lot to the black I’m wearing right now.

The next thing I tried was an eyeshadow pallet from Sephora Brand.  It has a great mix of colors and there was only one color I didn’t think went well with my extremely fair skin.  I have loved each and every color I have tried from it.  The colors mix well to do different looks and the glitter colors are great for going out.

I got a few samples in my box as well.  I got two perfume samples, one of Clinique Happy and the other of Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture.  If you have never tried Happy, you probably should.  It’s a light and flowery that smells delicious on most any woman.  Viva la Juicy has some flower notes to it but it has a strong base to it that has a sexy feel to it.

The final sample I was sent was a sample of Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation.  If you like to wear liquid foundation, I highly recommend this one.  It’s light and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing one at all, which says a lot because I am a huge powder foundation fan.  I had a hard time with the coloring because it only came in a light/medium color choice for the sample and of course it was too dark for my pasty skin.  However, if you’re looking for a new foundation to try out, I would recommend this one highly!!
