In an effort to remember that summer comes back around every year I’m going to share a post that I started in July or so. Yup, that’s right. I’ve been holding out on you all! More like the procrastination and busy as heck gremlins have gotten the best of me. So, I apologize and I am hoping this will make sure for it. Better late than never… Right?!
This summer my brother interned for a company that makes baby food. The company sources all their produce by contracting with farmers. The Michigan crew also harvests the peas used in the baby food. Today, my post is going to show some of my brother’s pictures from this summer and how the harvest process goes! All of the pictures are courtesy of my brother, Kevin Messing.
This is the pea combine, it's used to harvest the peas right from the field!
As you can see, the combine is picking the pea pods off of the plant.
Pea harvesting is serious business!
